Academic Background
Pastor Emmanuel De La Torre was raised in San Jose, California. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Bachelor’s in Theology, reflecting both academic depth and spiritual conviction. Pastor Emmanuel furthered his education by earning a Master of Education with a concentration in Teaching, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, Curriculum, and Instruction—demonstrating his commitment to both spiritual and academic excellence in service to the Church and community.
Ministry and Leadership Journey
For over a decade, Pastor Emmanuel De La Torre has faithfully served as a co-vocational pastor—bridging the worlds of education and ministry to make a lasting impact. As a licensed high school social studies teacher, he views every classroom as a mission field, shaping the next generation with biblical values and purpose. His ministry journey began in his youth, preaching as an evangelist and serving in various pastoral roles including youth, worship, associate, and children’s pastor. His passion for revival and discipleship has taken him across the world, equipping churches and leaders through preaching, mentorship, and strategic development.
Pastoral Experience
In 2014, Pastor Emmanuel became the lead pastor of Tulelake Assembly of God, guiding the church through a season of spiritual growth and community renewal. He later led Strong Tower Community Church in San Jose, where he emphasized Spirit-filled worship, biblical teaching, and multicultural outreach.
Network and Missional Leadership
Beyond the local church, Pastor Emmanuel has served the Central Pacific Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God in key leadership roles—East Bay Area Missions Director, San Jose Area Youth Rep, and Education Director for the Center for Theological Studies. As Network Executive Pastor (Secretary/Treasurer), he provided oversight and support to 143 churches and 274 ministers across Northern California and Nevada.
LifePoint Christian Church
Today, he is the founder and lead pastor of LifePoint Christian Church, where he is committed to Lead people to Jesus, Inspire Generations, Form Disciples, and Enhance Culture. He is also the founder of God With Us Ministries and Agape Consulting, empowering churches and non-profits with tools for revitalization, leadership, and growth.
